Collection
My physical music collection began with cassette tapes in the 80s and early 90s, evolved into CDs, disappeared during the Napster era, and has recently become a hobby (obsession) again.

After some digging through storage bins, I was able to salvage much of my collection from my youth. No cassettes, sadly, but I did find 208 CDs. I know I’m missing quite a few, so I might have to venture another expedition through the wilderness of my storage unit. I was thrilled with what I recovered… the downside is that I got rid of the CD jewel cases at some point, and my collector gene does not appreciate that. As a result, many of the new additions have been replacements for originals that were missing cases or damaged. I love the jewel cases and album artwork.
Immediately after finding my CDs (and buying “new” old CDs at record shops), I did what my brain always does: catalogued everything and started curating my collection. I organized everything into genres that made sense to me. No, they don’t match Spotify.
